Now more than these miracles of His birth, His life and ministry, we also know that all creation shouts to the heavens above because our Redeemer lives. No other religion can point to a well documented historical fact that Jesus rose from the dead, showed Himself to thousands and forty days later ascended into heaven.

I know my Redeemer lives? All of these facts convince me that I believe in the one true God of all heaven and earth. But did you know there is more you can know that proves your Redeemer lives?

Turn with me to the book o 1 John 1-3

Here, you see in the 1st Chapter, 3rd verse: Now by this we know that we know Him, if we keep his commandments. Read the entire book and you will find that there are 39 specific uses of the term "know." Each one gives you all the more reason to "know that we know Him."

But, even if I had none of the above facts, even if I never read the Bible, I know that I know that my Redeemer lives because He touched me! He speaks to me! He comforts me.! He sustains me! He heals me! He purged my evil thoughts and memories of all unrighteousness!

When I was yet a sinner lost to drugs, sex and rock n' roll, as a young man, God pierced my darkness with His light as two young girls approached me to tell me "God loves you mister, more than you know how to be loved."

Those words haunted me for two years as I ran from God as long as I could. Then, when my world crashed around me, I shook my fist toward heaven and yelled at God: " OK BIG GUY, if you are real, then prove it! Come on, if you really love me show me. Go ahead!"

Without a day in church, no Bible verses to hold on to, God reached all the way from heaven and poured His precious, sweet spirit upon me. I cannot describe what it was to watch profanity and lust disappear as I was bathed in His love. I became hungry for God's word. 40 years later, He is still proving Himself time and time again. So much so that I wrote a book called A Quest for Hope

I know that my Redeemer lives because of the fact He has given me His Spirit to live within me, He has sustained me when the world attacked me, squashed me flat, and took all my earthly possessions and money away, my Lord was there to provide a way where there was no way. He has never left me once in all of these 40 years!

I know that my Redeemer lives.
